PJ-56 Lounge Chair, 1956A beautiful lounge chair designed by Grete Jalk for cabinetmaker Poul Jeppesen in Denmark in 1956. This example comes in stunning rosewood with new feather filled cushions reupholstered in aniline cognac brown leather. The Model 56 lounge chair debuted at the Fredericia Furniture Fair in 1957 and became a great success for Jeppesen's company over the following years. Danish designer Grete Jalk's career began to gain serious momentum in the late 1950s.
