Egyptian Stool, 1957Bernt Petersen, or simply architect Bernt as became known, was a stalwart of the 3rd wave of great danish furniture designers of the 29th century. His early career was spent collaborating with leading cabinetmaker Henrik Worts. One of his earliest designs was this elegant square stool with curved rails, inspired by the classic ancient Egyptian furniture type. Bernt managed to introduce Chinese influence also with his carefully sculpted horseshoe feet.
