Gävle Chair, 1950sThe Gvle chair is one of Swedish master Carl Malmsten's more obscure and rare armchair designs. The chair is named after the municipality of Gvle neath Gothenburg, where Malmsten spent considerable time, collaborating with his friend, the civic architect Sven Hggbom. Malmsten had also designed another well known armchair named his friend years earlier. The Gvle is a slimmer, younger cousin of the Hggbom chair that shares some similar elements. This
