The Gun Wad Bible; Exodus 7 and 8A truly rare and important item. A bible sheet from the press of Christopher Sauer printed in Germantown Pennsylvania in 1776. Only 127 bibles were printed. The unbound pages were used to make musket cartridges for the opposing fighting sides of the British and the Colonists. As a result the bible was nicknamed the Gun Wad Bible. This particular page is from the book of Exodus chapters 7 and 8 covering the first four plagues of Egypt.
