El Ray Zapoteco mezcal Reposado (750ml)El Rey Zapoteco has been an established brand in Oaxaca since the 1960's, steeped in a tradition of artisanal Mezcal production. Agave are cooked in underground ovens for 4 7 days, ground with a tahona pulled by horses, fermented with natural yeast in the open air, and double distilled in copper stills. The final product is aged in white oak barrels for 10 months before being bottled.
